The 5th Sina-Japan Bilateral Symposium on Environmental Catalysis and Materials was held in ME School, Nov. 28-29, 2011, with the theme of Progress in Catalysis and Materials for Low-carbon Energy Development and Environment Quality Control. The symposium was chaired jointly by Prof. Wenfeng Shangguan from ME School and Prof. Yasutake TERAOKA, from Kyushu University. It covers a large amounts of hot topics on various frontier areas, for instance, catalytic materials and   preparation, energy catalysis，oxidation catalysis, soot removal, catalytic purification for NOx and photocatalysis.
