At 3:00pm, Oct 27, with thunderous applause, 126th session of SJTU Inspirational Forum raised its curtain in Gao Tian Conference Hall. The forum was chaired by Mr. Tao Yanmin, Director of School Council, ME School.

First of all, President Zhang Jie gave a speech. He reviewed the collaboration between SMC and SJTU these years and expressed his sincere thanks for SMC’s constant support to SJTU. He then illustrated the core value of talents training in SJTU, that is, strengthening students’ capability building and personality forming. Later, President Zhang presented adjunct professor certificate to Mr. Zhao Tong. Mr. Zhao received the certificate and meanwhile, he expressed that he took on greater responsibility in providing university students with training opportunities in company.

Later on, Mr. Zhao shared with students his experiences from childhood to working in village, from being a university student to studying abroad in Japan, from being a professor in university to being a general manager of SMC (China). He required students to enjoy the real happiness after making continuous hard work; to maintain dynamic and active towards every goal they set; to chase success on different stages of life. He encourages students to be industrious and have great ambitions in fulfilling their dreams.

Moreover, he stressed the importance of the old Chinese saying: The sea refuses no river. Enterprise should welcome all talents from different places and provide talents with more opportunities. Therefore, the company and its spirit can be passed from one generation to another.

With warm applause, Mr. Zhao ended up with his speech. Next, Mr. Zhao answered students’ questions providing his suggestions. At last, Mr. Zhao wished every SJTU student a big success and be a pillar of society through their continuous efforts and perseverance.
