On May 17, Dr. Uwe Mohr, Vice President of MAHLE in charge of Corporate Research and Advanced Engineering visited SJTU-ME and signed MoU with SJTU-ME on future collaboration in the fields of talent training and R&D. Later on, Dr. Uwe Mohr gave a speech on Technical Enablers for Advanced Engine Downsizing Concepts, covering Technology Roadmaps of Modern Engine Developments; Downsizing Concepts of Modern Gasoline Engines; Technical Enables for the Downsizing Concepts as well as Engine and Vehicle Results of MAHLE Extreme Downsizing Demostrator.
 

Dr. Mohr studied Mechanical Engineering in University Kassel and Technical University Darmstadt during 1975-1981, and in 1982-1986 had his doctorial education in famous Max-Planck-Institut für Eisenforschung GmbH. Dr. Mohr joined Knecht Filterwerke Stuttgart in 1986 and was responsible for Testing, Advanced Development, Laboratories and Simulation until 1998. In 1998, MAHLE acquired Knecht and Dr. Mohr became the Director Research and Development Center. In 2006, Dr. Mohr was promoted to be the Vice President of MAHLE and responsible for the Corporate Research and Advanced Development, Coordinator R&D Centers worldwide.
