Air Products Scholarship Awarding Ceremony was held in the afternoon of April 13. Mr. Monty Alger, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Air Products, Mr. Xiaoping GAO, Director of Asia International Technology Cooperation, Mr. Lijun YU, Vice Director of SJTU Energy Institute, Mr. Yingzheng LIU, Vice Dean of School of Mechanical Engineering (ME), Mr. Min WANG, Vice Dean of School of Materials Science and Engineering, Mr. Yiyang ZHANG, Director of Student Affairs Office and Assistant for Dean, School of Materials Science and Engineering and Mr. Xin ZHAO, ME Director of Student Affairs Office joined the ceremony. 
 

First of all, Professor Yingzheng LIU delivered opening remarks. He expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Air Products for its great support to SJTU students. Meanwhile, he extended his congratulations for scholarship recipients and hoped that all the scholarship winners go on studying harder and always be diligent to achieve higher.

Next, Vice President Monty Alger introduced the overall state of Air Products and its development in China. He stressed the importance of technology innovation and innovative talents for the development of company. Thus, they set up scholarship in some domestic universities to spur students. Mr. Monty Alger gave high marks to SJTU students and hoped that the collaboration ties between SJTU and Air Products would be further strengthened.

Then, Qiwei SHI, on behalf of scholarship recipients, expressed his gratitude to Air Products and SJTU and made his determination to work harder to live up to the expectation both from university and society. At last, Yi SU, Ph.D candidate majored in Combustion Energy from ME introduced the research outcomes from him and his team.
