Shanghai Jiao Tong University GSK Scholarship Awards Ceremony was held on Jan. 18th, at the Conference Room F310, No. A Building, School of Mechanical Engineering. Those attending the ceremony included Mr. Tangyong Yang, Deputy Chief Engineer from GSK CNC Equipment Co., Ltd., Yanmin Tao, Secretary of CPC Community of ME-SJTU, Xiangyang Zhu, Vice President of ME, Xin Zhao, Director of Student Affairs of ME, Yuhan Wang, Director of the GSK-SJTU CNC Technology Joint Research Center, and Zhenhua Xiong, XinJun Sheng, from the Robotics Research Institute. The ceremony was hosted by Xiyao Gu, Secretary of the Communist Youth League from ME.

At the beginning of the award ceremony, the Secretary Yanmin Tao delivered an opening speech. In his speech, on behalf of the school, he expressed his gratification to GSK CNC Equipment Co., Ltd., and also thanked all the staff and students from the GSK-SJTU CNC Technology Joint Research Center for their scientific research work. He believed that further cooperation between SJTU and GSK would embrace a better future of the center.

After that, Tangyong Yang, Deputy Chief Engineer from GSK, also delivered an address. He expressed gratification to the School of Engineering, SJTU, for its contribution to the development of GSK, and hoped that the two sides would strengthen cooperation in students' internships and employment. After the speech, on behalf of the school, Yanmin Tao presented a gift to Tangyong Yang. Then the host announced the name of the awarded students, and Tangyong Yang, Minyan Tao and other guests presented certificates to those awarded.

After the award presentation ceremony, some awarded students delivered acceptance speech, among them, Yongqiao Jing and Duo Chen. They expressed their appreciation and gratification to SJTU and GSK, exchanged their experience in their research and study, and promised to work even harder to do more to their alma mater and GSK.

At last, Xiangyang Zhu, Vice President of the School of Mechanical Engineering, recalled the cooperation between the school and GSK, and hoped that GSK would carry on to support SJTU in its research work and students' development.

At the end of the ceremony, all leaders, guests and awarded students took a picture together to commemorate this event.
