Nov. 24 witnessed the 2009-2010 SJTU-Desay Scholarship Awarding Ceremony. Chunlin Chen, CEO of Huizhou Desay SV Automotive Co., LTD., Tiehui Song, Sales Manager of Huizhou Desay SV Automotive Co., LTD., Zhenrong Yang, Human Resource Manager of Huizhou Desay SV Automotive Co., LTD., Yanmin Tao, Secretary of CPC Community of ME-SJTU, Prof. Lifeng Xi, Executive Dean of ME-SJTU and Xin Zhao, Director of Student Affairs attended the ceremony which was chaired by Prof. Yingzheng Liu, Vice Dean of ME-SJTU.

Since 2010,  Desay SV Automotive has been donating RMB 500,000 per year to ME for five consecutive years in support of ME's teaching and research. Meanwhile, the name of Desay SV Professor and SJTU-Desay SV Scholarship have been set up. The Desay SV Professor was established in order to motivate professors who made breakthrough and great contibution in related areas and encourage them to further carry on high-level research and applied research so as to promote the cooperation among industry, teaching and research. SJTU-Desay SV Scholarship was initiated in the hope of rewarding students with outstanding acadmic achievements and staff with strong responsibilty and enthusiasm for his/her post.

Discussed by Scholarship Committee, Desay SV Automotive appointed Professor Jiangping Chen and Professor Chengliang Yin as Desay SV Professor for five years. Li Chen, Xin Zhao, Huafen Song, Qiaowan Zhou and Xinjun Sheng was awarded teaching scholarship. Seven students was awarded 2010 Desay SV Overseas Study Scholarship, five students was awarded Desay SV Outstanding Academic Achievements and five students was awarded Desay SV Leadership Scholarship.

On ceremony, Mr. Chunlin Chen, CEO of Huizhou Desay SV Automotive Co., LTD. was declared to be member of ME Strategic Development Consulting Committee. In 2010, ME set up Strategic Development Consulting Committee inviting high-level technician and managers to provide their suggestions to the development of school.
