MoU Signing with PSU

In the morning of Nov 19, delegation from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) visited Pennsylvania State University and signed a memorandum of understanding with delegation from Penn State. 

 

Delegation from Penn State includes: Robert N. Pangborn, Vice President and Dean for Undergraduate Education, Janet Murphy,Director of General Administration and Planning, David N. Wormley, Dean of College of Engineering, Karen A. Thole, Head of Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering, College of Engineering, Paul M. Griffin, Head of Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, College of Engineering, Henry C. Foley, Vice President for Research and Dean of the Graduate School, Michael Adewumi, Vice Provost for Global Programs, Barbara Rowe, Executive Director of Education Abroad and Jean Landa Pytel, Assistant Dean for Students Services. SJTU delegates are: Huang Zhen, Vice President of SJTU, Jianqiang Li, Vice Director of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Council,Chaohui Du, Excutive Dean of Graduate School, Lifeng Xi, Executive Dean of ME-SJTU, Jingyi Wu, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education, Yingzheng Liu, Associate Dean for International Cooperation and Xiaochun Cai, Director of Graduate Education Office, ME-SJTU.

 

 

Both sides endeavor to pursue mutually beneficial collaboration in the fields of mechanical, nuclear, industrial and manufacturing engineering covering: reciprocal visits of faculty and researchers; developing undergraduate/graduate exchange program; developing undergraduate global student engineering program; conducting joint research projects, hosting of joint research symposia at both institutes.

 

 

After the signing ceremony, SJTU delegation visited learning factury, laboratories of industrial engineering and laboratories of nuclear engineering.At night, Robert N. Pangborn, Vice President of PSU held a banquet for SJTU delegation.
