Michael Russell, Cabinet Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning together with Scotland’s University experts visited SJTU. Prof. Su Ming, Vice Secretary of CPC met with the delegation on Minhang Campus on Oct. 19, 2010. Prof. Su expressed his warm welcom to the distiguished guests from Scotland, recalled cooperative friendship between SJTU and universities from Scotland and hoped that Mr. Russell's visit will further promote collabration between both sides on education and scientific research. Mr. Russell stressed that he had been paying great attention to cooperation with first-class universties in China. Therefore, he set SJTU as the first destination in China.

The delegation held seminar with professors from Energy Institue of ME-SJTU. Both sides introduces their own research on sustainable energy and discussed possibilities for further cooperation. The delegation also visited laboratory and achievement show on energy, in which high-level energy research and achievements left deep impression on guests.

Prof. Yingzheng Liu, Prof. Yonghao Luo, Prof. Hengyong Tu, Dr. Xiaojun Hu from ME-SJTU and Prof. Yunfeng Cao from School of Electronic, Information and Electrical Engineering joined the discussion.
