On Sept. 11, 2010, School of Mechanical Engineering threw open its doors to welcome more than 45 alumni from Thermal Energy back to their alma mater, celebrating their five years anniversary. XI Lifeng, Executive Dean of ME and MENG Yan, Director of Dean Affair Office attended the gathering.

Roughly 45 former students , along with some current students, reminisced in meeting room in Mechanical Building. For the alumni, the memories of their alma mater are like a suitcase stuffed with souvenirs and memorabilia, a suitcase they can't wait to open in order to show you what's inside. It was stories of love, loss and friendships that forged alumni share their memories at the reunion. They felt the excitement and history that seemed to bounce off the walls of mechanical building. Some also remembered significant moments during their university year.

Dean XI introduced the recent development of ME and the establishment of new Mechanical Building Complex, at which alumni were amazed.The advanced equipment, first-class teachers, professional laboratories and magnificent academic achievements these years made alumni feel much proud and more confident on future development. Dean XI hoped alumni keep on caring for their alma mater and make continous improvements on their working post.

NI Jiajun, on behalf of these alumni, made a gift to ME in honor of their five-year reunion, expressing their thankfulness to ME and wish ME a brighter future. Homecoming filled mechancial building with laughter and memories.
