On Aug 2, with the plane landing safe and sound on Pudong International Airport, curtain came down on  the successful 17-day Tyco Summer Camp. From July 17 to Aug 2, 31 SJTU students went through 9 cities in the middle and east part of America, visited 8 world-renowned universities as well as Tyco and Cummins headquarters. Tyco Summer Camp enriches students' knowledge and widen their horizon.

In terms of university activities, students had various events in Purdue University, University of Cincinnati and Howard University, visiting labs of different disciplines, listening to lectures given by American professors, exchanging ideas with local students and teachers. In regard of enterprise events, for instance, students went to Cummins factory seeing the whole procedures of  engine production, had face-to-face communication with Tyco employees, engaged in community service as volunteers.

Besides visiting universities and enterprises, students were enchanted by bustling Chicago and New York, attracted by historical architectures in Washington D.C. and also enjoyed seeing museums and trips on Oak farm.

From the perspective of education, enterprise, farm and city, the Summer Camp makes students get to know more about the culture, economy and history of America. During the trip, not only do the students appreciate the development mode and process of a developed country, they also strengthen their independency and thinking ability and enhance teamwork spirits.
