The 2010 International Conference on Mechanism and Machine Science, China (CCMMS2010) was held on July 21-25, 2010 in Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Over 100 people from different countries and regions attended the conference. The conference event was hosted by CMES China Mechanism Committee (CMC)  and Shanghai Jiao Tong University and co-organized by  International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine Science (IFToMM) and National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). Professor Zhongqin LIN, on behalf of the sponsor, gave a welcome remark. Professor Huijun ZOU, director of  China Mechanism Committee delivered his opening speech.
 
Since its launch in the October of 1982, CMC has successfully organized National Mechanism Academic Symposium for 17 times.  The event has long been served as a main platform in mainland China for ideas exchanging and discussing on mechanism and machine science. It became an international event from its 15th session and was renamed as  International Conference on Mechanism and Machine Science, China. More and more experts both from mainland China and from different countries and regions joined the conference, sparking cerative ideas as well as spurring academic innovation.
