Agreement for Tyco International Scholarship between Tyco International (US), Inc. and  School of  Mechanical Engineering, SJTU has been signed on April 15th. Professor Meng (Dean, School of Mechanical Engineering) presented the ceremonial signing and Grand Opening of Tyco R&D Center of Excellence(COE).

"Tyco International Scholarship" is set up to reward students with outstanding academic achievement and demonstration of the shared core values and code of conduct held by the School and by Tyco, to encourage and support women in the engineering profession, and to provide financial support to students.  According to the agreement, Tyco will finance the anual total funding, namely USD 50,000, for a period of four years. Tyco is responsible for the Summer Intership provided to the Scholarship recipient, who will have the opportunity to further develop learning and problem solving skills through internship experience at Tyco China R&D Center fo Excellence in Shanghai or other Tyco operations worldwide.
